Made famous by a certain late night show host, top ten lists are a staple of blogging. Whatever industry you're in, you can come up with a top ten list of some sort.

Short bulleted or numbered lists are easy and quick for people to read. Not only that, if they are well written, and humorous or informative, they tend to make the rounds on various social websites.

And you don't even have to make it a top ten list. If you have tons of things to list, it can be a top twenty, or even a top ninety-nine list.

Or, if you're feeling lazy, make it shorter. A top five list is fine. In fact, if your list items have any explanations to go with them, it will be much easier to keep the attention of your readers if you have less than ten items on the list.
